I'm not someone who cries at a wedding, just because it's a wedding. Sure, I feel intense happiness and love for the bride on her special day. I 'awwww' at the cheesy vows and my heart melts as the father of the bride slowly walks his daughter down the aisle, but it's not a natural instinct for me to cry tears of joy at these times (if I see someone special to me becoming teary however, there is no lack of sympathy/compassion tears!).
Cheers to the beautiful bride!
This past weekend I attended a friend from uni's wedding (the first of my close uni friends to get married in fact - we're gettin' old!). At this wedding I discovered that there are two types of people in the world... wedding criers and cold heartless bitches. Jokes! But, really about half of my friends were already crying by the time the bride reached her groom and the other half did not shed a tear.
Four non-criers ;)
So it got me wondering...
What makes YOU cry at a wedding?
Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section.
Are you cool, calm and collected or a blubbering mess of tears when it comes to other people's weddings?
Wedding details. Left: The incredible venue! Top left-clockwise: A bridesmaids bouquet. Personalised fortune cookie, card suitcase, table setting.
Also, what a wedding, huh!?! It was like something ripped straight from the pages of Pinterest but without trying too hard or playing too cool. Lawn games, rustic decorations, personalised fortune cookies, a fairy light dance floor, loving family, awesome friends and a truly beautiful couple!
