My HOT SEAT experience.

Remember a little while back when I announced the super exciting news that I was going to be on Millionaire Hot Seat!?!
Well the show has aired and I'm now free to give you the behind-the-scenes scoop on the whole experience.

It all started after work on a Tuesday. My Mum travelled up to Canberra during the day and we drove to the airport together for our 6pm flight to Melbourne. Hot Seat actually covered all our travel and accomodation expenses which made the experience worthwhile and almost like a mini (very mini) getaway.

The next day was filming day. A mini bus arrived early at our hotel to take Me and my fellow contestants to the studio. On arrival, we were given a short orientation on how the day would run. 6 episodes are filmed on each filming day so there was a group of about 40 of us all eagerly awaiting our chance to hit the jackpot!

Soon it was time to head through hair, makeup and wardrobe. Hair and makeup were basically just touch-ups to ensure you were camera ready and wardrobe was picking the best items for on screen (you were required to bring wardrobe options with you).

After that, we had a practice round with "Fake Eddie" to give us a chance to learn the show processes and to test out some of the stories we had provided to talk about. Then, our audience members started to arrive while we were treated to lunch.

Before I knew it, it was time to film!

You can watch my episode HERE (or keep reading to find out how it went down).

My first question was "Passed" to me so I had to answer. I had no idea so I had to guess... and thankfully guessed RIGHT!

The second question  I knew the answer to straight away. Learning piano growing up meant that I had often used a metronome to set the pace while I played.

The third question confused me instantly and so I passed.

When it got back around to me, I had to answer as I had already used my pass.
I had no idea, so I went for the only greek name I'd never heard before...

Of course, the answer was the least greek option.
No money for me!

All in all it was an amazing experience and such a fun day. I would highly suggest applying to anyone who was interested in trying something different and possibly winning some money!
