Today is my wonderful mother’s birthday, so I thought what better day to share how special she is to me and why I am so grateful to have her in my life.
My mum is one of my best friends. I love that she is someone that I want to spend my time with, I can easily waste a whole weekend just hanging out with her.
Looking back on my childhood I am so grateful to have had parents that put a roof over my head, fed me healthy foods, allowed to undertake any afterschool activities I wanted, read with or to me every night, supported me all the way through school and provided everything I needed to be happy and healthy.
She makes delicioussss potato bake, mushroom gravy, choc coconut slice, blueberry muffins, poached eggs and more. Yum!
My mum is a genuinely kind and caring person. She has worked as an LSA (Teacher’s Aide) in an Autism unit for over 10 years now. When I was younger she would provide respite for some of the families at the school and would look after kids for a night or weekend to allow the family to have some time out.
She’s really good with an iron! (or any cleaning utensil for that matter) ;)
Overall, she’s just the best!
Happy Birthday Mum!!
