The days are longer, the sun shines brighter and people are happier, Summer is the perfect time for getting out and trying new things! So why not make this Summer one to remember by trying one (or two, or three, or all) of these five Summer activities, all of which I've done in the past two weeks!
cider and lawn bowls = win!
When I think of the sport of Lawn Bowls I picture old men and women waddling up and down the greens, dressed in all white, slowly filling their final days. BUT, Lawn Bowls can be so much more fun than that these days! Grab a group of your friends, wear whatever you like, have a few drinks and enjoy socialising out in the summer sun. Fun!!
sister paddling me round the lake.
I first learnt to Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP) last Summer and I loved it! There are soooo many SUP board hire companies these days that you can find one on pretty much every lake, river and ocean. This is truly an activity for the whole family, as young kids seem to pick it up effortlessly and it's not hard for the parents either.
Grab a couple of friends, pick a Summer perfect destination (aka. the coast!), jump in the car and go. Feel free to stop wherever you choose for milkshakes, icecream, KFC, sausage rolls and any other snacks that call your name. Calories consumed on the road do not count!
Make a Mix Tape (or CD, or a playlist).
Compile the perfect mix of old and new tunes to create your perfect Summer playlist. The perfect idea to accompany a road trip, make sure you include plenty of sing-along hits!
Complete a puzzle.
When you've been outside too long and you're starting to look like a lobster it's time to retreat indoors. Last week I finished a 1000 piece puzzle that took foreverrrrrr to do but was surprisingly satisfying to see done.
