Camp Lyf.

a new week brought a couple of new activities for me to teach and assist with...
i got to hang out at candle making and go canoeing for a period each...

the other day we also spent half the day on the waterfront and i got to go paddle boarding too!

on June 30th we held the annual camp halloween and i dressed up as the one and only miss katy perry, complete with blue wig and pink tutu...

there were loads of games, a haunted house, and plenty of candy!!

while camp life is fun, its the days off that have become a real highlight...

we tend to rotate between getting our laundry done, heading to walmart, eatting out for lunch or dinner, chilling and watching movies, or most importantly and most commonly heading out on the town for crazy nights at the local bars :)

on tuesday we had the best day off ever!!!

we hopped in the van at 7am and drove three hours to Wisconsin Dells to visit...

MT OLYMPUS WATER and THEME PARK...

there we went on every rollercoaster (more then once, and usually whilst cheering camp songs), and a load of waterslides...

we then headed out for dinner before driving back to arrive at camp a little before 11pm...

it was sooo much fun and nice to get out of our tiny little town and away from camp for a bit!

thursday was the 4th July and it was FULLON!

we spent the day with our cabin and went out for lunch, shopping and to icecream...

there is a parade through town and heaps of the older girls from camp spent time learning a dance that they performed in the parade...

then we watched the fireworks own the night...

and finally the campers were shipped back to camp and i got to have a crazy night out on the town to end my first ever 4th celebrations perfectly!

it has been a crazy busy week and its starting to take its toll on everyone...

we are all tired and pretty much every staff member has either already had or currently has some form of sickness...

the signs of exhaustion are starting to show in the kids...

and we all long for a lazy day to get some rest...

but it doenst look like that is going to happen any time soon!
