Pre Camp.

after flying and sitting around in airports for what felt like 2 million hours, I finally arrived in Milwaukee USA...
i met up at the hotel with some other international staff and we headed to lunch, to a brewers baseball game and out for a few beverages...

i got to experience tailgaiting for the first time ever.... seriously why do we not have tailgaiting in australia??? being legally allowed to party and predrink in the car park is awesome!

the next day we hung out in the airport for a few hours waiting for the bus to camp to pick us up...

we played kings with water instead of alcohol...

yes, we are actually that cool!

then we hopped on a bus for a 4 hour trip to camp...

cue singing and dancing and lizzie mcguire movie watching...

oh and playing the ellen degeneres heads up game...

sooo funny, go download that app now!

finally we arrived at camp and it was so exciting to finally be in the place that i had seen sooo many photos of...

since then we've just been getting to know each other and how the camp operates...

team bonding activities, learning new songs and chants, making up dances, taking boat tours, and eating, eating, eating!

there is one computer that staff can use here and no wifi...

its kinda nice to not to have to worry about a phone or checking facebook regularly or anything...

but it also means i can't keep up to date with the blog world obviously, so sorry for the lack of comments etc.

we found out who our co-counselors are on sunday...

these are the people i am living with in cabin J for the next two months and will take care of our 11 campers with...

there were sheets of paper with all our baby photos on them and we had to find ours to see which group we were in...

i have 3 co's who are all american and have all been to the camp as campers and two have worked as counselors before too...

they are super nice girls, so im happy!!

we have a great cabin, with loads of space and showers so we dont have to walk to the shower house, such a bonus!!

On monday we went out to a high ropes course as a sort of bonding experience...

after a little struggling and cursing my lack of upper body strength i finally got to the top and was able to take a zip line ride to get back down, it was soooooo much fun :)
