sooooooooooooo excited...
i have never been overseas before...
im heading over to NZ with three of my friends from uni...
we are driving to canberra tommorow, then busing it up to sydney where we will stay the night...
our flight to NZ leaves sydney on friday...
then we have what im sure will be an amazing, unforgettable, once in a lifetime,15 day contiki tour booked, that will have us travelling to the bay of islands and both the north and south islands...
has anyone else ever done a contiki tour? or been to NZ?

in other news...
i had a fun monday to go with my great weekend (see last post)...
spent it with the same people (DC and the boys from uni)...
went and played water golf (like the driving range but you hit balls into the water)...
went to the beach (possibly the nicest day i had at the beach all summer)...
jumped off a little wharf that i used to refuse to jump off when i was younger because i was/am afraid of stingrays...
went to out to dinner at my favourite hometown thai restaurant...
and then went back to one of the boys family's holidays home just to hang out.

last night i went out to dinner with my family because it was my last night at home with everyone (i move straight back to uni when i get home from NZ)...
we went to this little place that makes mexican food and pizza...
i had such a yummy pizza...
crunchy base, spanish onion, capsicum, cheese, prawns and bbq sauce.

finishing up all my packing today :)

wrecking it.

ive crossed another item off my day zero list!
#39 Complete 20 challenges in a wreck this journal...
this week ive spilt coffee on it, ripped up pages, coloured in, defaced a magazine article, poked holes through a page, written the word 'love' too many times to count and many various other random activites...
im still having trouble with the idea of actually wrecking the journal though...
ive chosen to complete the least destructive of tasks first and am yet to even rip a single page completely out of the journal yet, and it definately hasnt been anywhere near the shower...
and cracking the spine shall be the very last task i attempt...

just had a great weekend...
my friend DC had her 21st so lots of our uni friends came down to our hometown for her party which was on saturday night and was a really good night (unfortunately i didnt take my camera so no photos to share)...
and then on sunday i went to the beach with DC and some of the guys from uni...
and then back to hers for an arvo of backyard cricket, bbq, and terrible jokes.

wreck this journal.

my wreck this journal just got here and i had to let you all know...
im soooooooo excited...
i literally screamed in excitement when i realised it had arrived...
so now im off to do some journal wrecking (20 wrecking activities to get through and i can cross another goal off my day zero (101) list)!

the first step.

as many of you know i started my day zero (101 in 1001) list on december 27...
and today i was able to tick off my first completed task!

task #54 Organise Makeup...
my makeup had all been kept in a travel toiletry bag or spread out in various supre bags...
i had makeup containers that were empty...
or well past being used...
i had spilt eyeshadow all through my makeup travel bag and so every item was caked in a black dust and i was getting really fed up with having black hands after every time i used any kind of makeup.

i was watching some of the cast interviews in the extras on my 'the hills' boxset the other day and audrina was giving a tour of her apartment...
while she was showing her bathroom she showed how all her makeup was organised in a large plastic storage draws and i instantly thought "i must have one!"...

so i went looking in town and wasnt able to find anything like it at all...
so i went looking again two days later and there in go-lo was the perfect storage draws...
they are much much smaller then ones audrina had on the show, but they are perfect for the amount of make up i have (now that i have thrown all the gross stuff out)...
and they are a super cute blue colour which will look great in my room when i move back on res.

feels great to tick my first task off my list...
which by the way still only has 64 tasks on it as i keep thinking up tasks and then forgetting to write them down and then not being able to remember what they were!

another award

wow two awards in two days...
i feel loved...
the lovely kelly over at keeping up with kelly & co. really spread the love today, dishing out awards left, right and centre...

What makes me happy:
1. spending time with my family...
since moving out of home this has become so important to me and it makes me so happy whenever i am able to make it home to see them.
2. magazines...
addicted. i bought about 4 magazines in the last month.(cleo, cosmo, womens health, and surfinglife). and am resisting the urge to grab the newest cosmo thats just come out, cause i am trying to save $$$$.
3. holidays...
planning them. waiting for them to arrive. enjoying the time away. telling the same holiday stories again and again, year after year.
4. the hills...

i love LC (lauren conrad). i got the hills boxset for xmas and am halfway through season 4. i dont know what it is about that show but it always manages to put a smile on my face.
5. singing in the car...
my roommate E and I are the best in car singers. and we make the BEST mix cds. my favourites to belt out in the car: mmmbop by hanson and dont stop believing by the glee cast.
6. iced coffee...

the best drink ever. and im not picky. ill drink it from gloria jeans, mcdonalads, or make it myself. as long as i get that icey coffee goodness!
7. blog comments.
i dont get that many of them so everyone i do get is really special to me and anyone who does comment i always go and check out there blog and aim to leave a comment and if i like what i see i usually become a follower as well. so it feels really nice when people comment my blog or choose to follow me.
8. res.
res is where i live (aka campus at uni). i love it. the people (who are the most amazing people i have ever met and the greatest friends you could ask for). the parties (soooooooooo many!). the movie nights. the games on the lawns. just chillin on one of the floors.
9. birthdays.
not just my birthday but also the birthdays of those people who i am close to and really care about. i enjoy helping others plan how they will celebrate. and setting up decorations. or surprises. making cakes. wrapping presents. and then getting it all back on my special day.
10. girlie chats.
sitting round with nothing better to do then chat n gossip for hours with my closet gal pals. always entertaining.

i know im late...
but HAPPY NEW YEAR!

ive been staying down at a house down near the beach for the last week so wasnt able to update any sooner...
had a quiet new years this year...
got pretty bored so pretty sure i wont be making that choice again next year...
however in my boredom i did finish reading the 3rd book in the twilight series which brings me a tad closer to crossing my first task off my day zero list :)

hope you all had fun bringing in the new year...
and i cant wait to share 2010 with you all!
