hair model.

so i cant remember if i said anything about this before or not...
but the place where i went to get my hair cut short called me a few weeks ago and asked if i would like to be a hair model for their salons 'skin bar' opening...
and considering they were going to cut and colour my hair for free i said "sure!".

last night was the big night...
my hair was dyed pink and blue!
i love it...
its so different and BRIGHT!


the modelling side of things went well...
was very informal and cruisy...
just walked around the store a bit while the hair dressers explained what they had done =)


had the res sport grandfinal for basketball afterwards...
was the only GF that my res (NEW RES!!!) made it into...
and unfortunately we lost to old res =(

had a good weekend...
360 (featuring tiga, a-trak and mstrkrft) was on at my uni on friday night...
looooooooooooooooots of fun =)
sat n sun night we had girlie movie nights and watched the classics... eg.'the little princess', 'spice world' and 'jawbreaker'.

the winner is.

on saturday i played in a netball grandfinal...
we were in division 5...
and played against the other team from our university that was in our division (its pretty awesome that our two teams were the ones that ended up playing against each other, there is alot of competition and rivalry between us... in a previous game one of their players even threatened to kill one of us haha intense netball!)...
and we unfortunately lost =(

i have been playing in a team for my university for the last five or so months...
its been a really fun competition...
and the girls in my team are awesome...
my room mate E and her friend M are both in my team and were the only girls i knew when we started =)


great season girls!
hopefully see you all on the courts again next year!!!

---txt msgs from my mum---

i have lived out of home for almost 2 years now...
last year i struggled alot with feeling home sick...
this year im feeling better about being away from home but i still have those moments where im sick or upset and all i want is my mummy...
and at moments like that i realise she is just a txt msg or phone call away =)
i <3 her!

---late night chats with E---

we get home from a good night out or decide to go to bed after a cruisy night at home...
jump into our pjs...
and before we know it its 2 hours later and we've been gossiping instead of sleeping!

we repeat ourselves constantly and talk about things that would interest no one else but we love it!

---my roommate W---

he is hilarious.
can not look at him without smiling or laughing!
i have the BEST roomies!

---magazines---

i am a magazine addict...
even when i am flat broke i still manage to scrounge up enough change to buy myself the lastest cleo or cosmo...
they make me smile...
they entertain me...
i have probably bought 2 mags a month for about 3 or 4 years...
wow think of all that money... maybe money can but happiness lol.

---music/singing---

A smile is always on my face when a song i love comes on the radio unexpectedly...
or E and i dance around our living area whilst singing our favourite songs...
or i play singstar...
or go to karaoke...
or better yet, driving in my car alone belting out my favourite hits on the hundreds of mix cds i have created and collected =)

i take my friends for granted wayyyyyyyyy too much...
i think its because i live on res so my alot of my friends are always around...
these past two weeks we have been on uni break so alot of people have gone home or on holidays elsewhere...
i too went home for the first week and now i am back on a somewhat empty res.

before holidays the smallest things my friends would do would piss me off and id be angry at them and bitching about them and just being a right cow...
however with a little time apart ive now realised just how special and important they are to me...
and how lost i feel without them all here.

today i got some news that really upset me (news that to alot would seem insignificant but just meant alot to me)...
and so i msgd my roommate E who is back in her home town...
i didnt even tell her what was wrong just that i was having a shit day and missed her...
and she rang me straight away...
and listened as i whinged about my issues and let out everything i was feeling.

she reminded me just how special my friends truly are...
they are everything...
i miss some of them soooooo much...
i love them all.

id forgotten what it was like to go camping...
but now ive remembered and i love it.

my friend D and i drove up to Ulladulla on thursday...
went shopping for essential supplies (man we forgot soooo many things)...
and found our way out to the camp site (asked 4 different ppl for directions, we were always so close but just not quite there lol)...
spent two nights there...
just us, one other girl and about 10-20 boys...
lots of fun!!!

i want to go camping again...
sooo ive convinced my parents camping is what we should do for christmas...
yay! cant wait!
